Community members are invited to celebrate the opening of the James Gordon Campaign office, located at 133 Wyndham St N (the former Alma Gallery). The event will feature musical performances by James Gordon, Ontario NDP candidate and Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus.
Gordon is a well-known and beloved musician, small business owner, and educator who is serving as the NDP candidate in the provincial election.
Angus has roots as a punk and folk musician, and focuses on community development efforts with Aboriginal communities, copyright issues, and social justice efforts in his work as an MP. In 2007 he was named one of the Toronto Star’s 10 most effective opposition MPs and Best Constituent Representative by Maclean’s magazine.
